The DE.HI story begins when three friends set out to revolutionize the snack food industry.  For months they toiled with different cuts of meat, flavors, equipment, and techniques until they finally found the right combination of crunch and seasoning that they could all agree on.  Our current lineup includes four beef and two pork flavors, along with human grade doggie treats for your four legged keiki.

We are constantly trying to innovate and come up with new flavors using various proteins. We’ll be looking to experiment with poultry, vegan solutions, and other game meats in the future, so be sure to follow us on Instagram, Facebook, or the News blog on our website for the latest updates.

Our very own unofficial Mayor of Honolulu may come up and start a conversation with you one day, and we apologize in advance.  This creature of the night cracks the whip making sure that every piece of jerky has the right texture and flavor. The brainchild of DE.HI, Jay has big dreams for the company and firmly believes that success comes from a tasty product, happy employees, and being good stewards of the aina.

With over 10 years of experience running a commercial kitchen, this wahine of Waipio brings much needed order to the operation.  When she's not cracking the whip making sure the boys aren't goofing off, she's jamming out to J-Pop.  We are definitely thankful to have her driven work ethic and overall awesomeness a part of the DE.HI team.

Once hailed as the "Tennis Prodigy from Pearl City", Eli brings his dedication to perfection to the production floor.  Having worked in industries that require attention to detail, his background is a vital component to ensuring that every piece of DE.HI jerky leaves you yearning for more.  This born and bred local boy can do it all, from turning a tree into a elegant chair, to putting the perfect amount of pepper on a slice of meat.

Blessed with the gift of gab, this local wahine can carry a conversation with anyone.  Awkward silence? Never an issue.  Unfortunately for the time being, she is only able to use her God-given talents once in a while as we keep her locked away in the production room.  However when she does run the retail operation, you will know by the Aloha in the air.

This future world bodyboarding champion was born in Massachusetts, but grew up on Oahu.  With a background in finance and restaurant management, he is the number cruncher that makes sure the business stays viable. Justin is passionate that the business strives to be as environmentally conscious as possible, while maintaining reasonable pricing for our customers.  When not chained to his desk or in the factory, you can find him in the water wherever there are waves.
